About Michael Jerome Bashaw

​

Sculptor/multi-instrumentalist Michael Bashaw is well known for his Sound Sculpture concerts, installations and collaborations, and has appeared in a variety of venues and events around the country. In addition to fine art, Michael has for decades conducted artist residencies and workshops in schools, colleges and museums, most recently serving as Visiting Artist at University of Dayton for the Hanley Sustainability Institute. His Sound Sculpture has been noted in Sculpture Magazine, (published by the International Sculpture Center), and his work is listed in the online Smithsonian catalog of Art. Michael was the 2012 recipient of the Ohio Arts Council's Governor's Award in the category of Individual Artist.
